Club 99 x Nike ACG

WET COLLODION ON THE FINISH LINE OF SNOWDON RUN

Club 9.9 is a women-led running community creating space for more women at the starting line of trail racing—a discipline that has traditionally been dominated by men.

With the support of Nike ACG, I followed the all-female Nike Running community during a rainy race weekend at Ultra-Trail Snowdonia. The project celebrated very woman who trained, arrived and took her place in the landscape.

The resulting series was created using wet collodion photography, with each portrait made by hand on a metal plate. The unpredictable nature of the process felt closely connected to the endurance of trail running, while also referencing photography’s own history.

The photographs bring together the heritage of the medium, the atmosphere of the Welsh landscape and the achievements of women continuing to reshape the dace of trail running.
