Magda Kuca | Wet Collodion & Alternative Photography in London

STUDIO PORTRAITS

It’s rare opportunity to experience one of the oldest photographic processes. Using the timeless wet plate collodion technique, I will craft your portraits on glass capturing a single, luminous moment through this hand made method. Each sitting lasts 2,5h and results in two 8x10’ inch portraits on glass, crafted with silver and light. This is a chance to own or gift a piece of photographic history. Book between We-Sat 11-6pm at your preferred time and date. Sessions take place at my studio/studio garden in West London (Kensington).

OUTCOMES

Each shoot finishes with two 8x10’ portraits on 4mm glass which are available a week after for pickup or delivery (for special request they can be ready same day) . Photoshoots take place in my studio in West London.

With exposures ranging between 3-7 seconds photographing younger children can be a challenge as it requires the sitters to stay still. With patience, imagination and help of Aurelie and her partner we managed to achieve shot without too much movement.
