London-based Polish visual artist & photographer exploring cyclical nature of human rituals through portraiture and storytelling by utilizing Victorian & historic photographic techniques such as glass plate photography-wet collodion technique.


FINE ART PROJECTS

Magda Kuca uses historical photographic techniques to reflect on the links between personal memory, ancestry and folklore. Her projects draw on personal experience, pagan traditions and Slavic culture in an ongoing investigation into the connection between human and nature.


Exhibited worldwide by galleries such as Aperture Gallery (US) or by Photo Vogue, her work has been recognised internationally and supported by WeTransfer, Victoria & Albert Museum, Institut Polonaise Paris & Royal Photographic Society. She recently presented her work at Bodleian Library, Oxford University and contributed to Humans in the EU - project by European Parliament.

Working with cultural institutions, brands, creatives and private clients, commissions range from public facing artwork and professional workshops to album covers and family portraits. Each commission is approached individually and carefully crafted.

Previous clients include institutions, brands & businesses such as BBC, The British Museum, The Macallan or Kew Gardens.
